Upgrading your PC from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 is a straightforward process that allows you to retain your personal files and applications. Follow these steps to perform the upgrade:
A PC running a genuine copy of Windows 8.1
An active internet connection
A USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space (optional, for creating installation media)

Open the downloaded file (MediaCreationTool.exe).

When prompted, select Keep personal files and apps to retain your data and installed applications.
Click Next to proceed.
