Step-by-Step Upgrade GuideAlthough the upgrade process is designed to preserve your files and applications, it's always a good idea to back up important data to an external drive or cloud storage, just in case.
Ensure your current system is up to date:
Press Windows + I to open Settings.
Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update.
Click Check for updates and install any available updates.
Use the PC Health Check app to confirm your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11.
Visit the official Microsoft website: https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
Click Download now under the Windows 11 Installation Assistant
Open the downloaded file (Windows11InstallationAssistant.exe).
Accept the license terms.
The tool will check your PC's compatibility and begin downloading Windows 11. This may take some time depending on your internet
Once the download is complete, click Restart now to begin the installation.
Your PC will restart several times during the installation. Ensure it remains powered
After installation, go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
Enter your Windows 11 license key if prompted.
If your Windows 10 license was eligible for a free upgrade, activation may occur automatically.
